Only one of those things actually happened, since upon our arrival to Mooresville his Dad always seems to have whatever he needed help with already finished.
I must say I am loving the newly re-screened sliding door in our bedroom, as the wind is moderate today and feels and smells amazing drifting from room-to-room.
Anyway. Saturday!
The overcast skies cleared off, the spitting rain seemed to be holding off and the cool day was just too beckoning to resist. Not wanting to venture too far away, we decided to venture over to Anderson Orchard.
We ran and laughed, frolicked and played, and the Orchard was so huge that even with a full parking lot, you would think we were the only ones there.
It wasn't too hot, too chilly or too windy. It was perfect.
After our apple bag was packed full, Maddie and I hopped into the bed of the pickup for a tour of the rest of the orchard, which included berry bushes and hazelnut trees, a pond and several trails that seemed to wind right into the heart of the Indiana countryside.
We returned to the Duncan house a little sun-kissed, ready for some coffee and dinner, with our memories safely captured on my tiny memory card... but most importantly in our hearts.
Happy.
What it is.
